Book 1 in "The Urban Oracle Series": SAGITTARIUS
Claire speaks with the dead every day, and honestly, sometimes she prefers them to the living. But when the monstrous caretakers of the Beyond escape their otherwordly tethers, and a mysterious (and admittedly handsome) Guardian arrives in her world to re-capture them, Claire's life is turned upside-down. She never expected that the responsibility of saving the damn world would rest on her weary shoulders.
Someone pass her the whiskey, please.
Constantine meets Supernatural in this page-turning paranormal urban fantasy set in the Gaslamp of San Diego, from poet and debut fiction author Sierra Zounes.

Sierra Zounes is a novelist by day and a poet by whim- as long as she's not too exhausted. Aside from practicing martial arts for the last 23 years, she enjoys writing bizarre stories and spoken word poetry, though she mainly reads dark fiction, fantasy, and horror. She is the San Diego Chapter teacher for the Community Literature Initiative and teacher/coordinator for the San Marcos Writing Project Teen Writers Camp through California State University of San Marcos.
Aside from the first book in her Urban Oracle Series, she has published one poetry book: "Teacher Haikus for the Educator's Non-Existent Free Time” and will be publishing her poetry comic book with World Stage Press in the early summer. Among other things, she'll camp with her husband but will unfortunately leave their cats, Toad and Cucumber, at home while they travel−which is fine, since she loves her cats dearly, and they merely tolerate her back.
It is an honor for "Duck, Duck, Duck" to be one of the honorable mentions for the "2023 Writer's Digest Annual Competition"!
Marcy Prescott is on the wrong side of 20: no job, communications major from a community college she took 7 years to achieve, thousands of dolars in school, car, and hospital debt, a mother in rapid psychological decline.
Marcy isn't running the struggle bus; she is bein run over by it.
So, when she finds a job opening at 96.6FM Commercial Break looking for a host to read and perform commercials on the fly, she jumps at the opportunity, signing a year-long contract to this experimental radio station.
Yet, as the commercials she reads move from the mundane and innocuous to something more sinister, Marcy begins to wonder if she signed on with a broadcasting channel, or sold her soul to something much, much worse.
